The Porter-Cable 8924 universal charger recharges all Porter-Cable slide pack batteries and features a complex diagnostic system to help maintain your high performance batteries. You just slide the battery in; the system then automatically checks the battery pack for proper alignment, and switches it into "Fast Charge" mode unless the battery needs maintenance. A handy indicator light flashes to let you know that the battery is charging.
